2022 NBAA National Championship Event Returns to Table Rock Lake April 6-9, 2022

2022 NBAA National Championship Event Returns to Angler Favorite, Kimberling City and Table Rock Lake April 6-9, 2022

PONCA CITY, Okla. (August 17, 2021) – The National Bass Anglers Association announced today that Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Missouri, will host the 2022 NBAA National Championship.  Qualified teams will come from across the country for a premier event on one of the top lakes in the country April 7-9, 2022.

Kimberling City is an angler’s favorite and ranks high on the list of wanted locations every time NBAA anglers are asked for input, mainly because you can catch fish there in the spring using about any style or pattern you as an angler like to use, there is lots to see and do in the area for anglers and their families and the main “grandaddy of them all” founding store of Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s is located in the area.

The great news is that it is still not too late to qualify to fish this premier championship as anyone anywhere, in any state can start a NBAA fall division and still qualify!

Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce will host the national event as anglers travel from North Carolina to Montana and many states in between to stay a week in the region. NBAA is excited to work with the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce to roll out another great event.

“Our community is very pleased to welcome back the National Bass Anglers Association in April, 2022 to Table Rock Lake,” Chamber President, Sheila Thomas, said. “We look forward to hosting this great tournament and all its anglers.”

“The NBAA’s team format is a what these anglers want.” NBAA Tournament Director, Randy Sullivan, said. “Anglers compete in local NBAA divisions with very little travel or cost. Then, each year they can qualify for a true national championship vacation event at a famous fishery like Table Rock where they will catch tons of fish for a chance at a new Ranger Boat.”

An event fact sheet will be posted to www.nbaa-bass.com  before registration opens to qualified teams. April 6 is on sight check in / rules meeting, while competition days are April 7-9. Daily weigh-ins will be streamed LIVE online at NBAA-Bass.com

NBAA Announces New NBAA National Championship Dates Due to Covid 19 Based On Advise Of Local Officials.

For Immediate Release (Ponca City, Ok. April 13, 2020 12:53pm)

The National Bass Anglers Association (NBAA) has been in regular contact with officials from Missouri about our upcoming event. After consulting with local officials and Missouri Water Patrol this morning and in the interest of public safety and out of extreme caution for the safety of our anglers, the NBAA National Championship event planned for the Truman Lake, Clinton, MO, April 30-May1,2 and presented by Ranger Boats has been moved back to May 28, 29, 30.

All other aspects of the event are the same and scheduled to go forward as planned at this time.

NBAA will continue to working diligently during this pandemic to keep our anglers and staff safe and continue to do all we can to provide quality events.  After this morning’s call with state officials, we had no choice but to reschedule the event. We wanted to get the word out to you ASAP so anglers can rebook their lodging. We have spoken to our host lodging providers and they are expecting your calls.  Consulting with local officials and housing providers there were no open dates in June so a late May dates were chosen and officials are confident those should work fine. The fishing is better than it has been in years on Truman Lake in Clinton, MO., someone is going home with a new Ranger Boat powered by Evinrude, Minn Kota and Humminbird and it should be a great event.

Anglers who previously registered for the no entry fee championship event will automatically be moved over to the new dates. Those that cannot make these new dates\location may email us at support@nbaa-bass.com  or call the national office.

“We do not take moving events lightly.” Stated NBAA President Robert Cartlidge. “But the safety of our anglers, their family and our staff will always be our first priority.  We know that our anglers and communities put these dates on their calendars long in advance and a moving them disrupts vacation time, lodging, tourism and workflow for not only our anglers, site hosts, sponsors and staff but for us as a company, it costs us all. Like each of you, we are taking this unprecedented situation day by day right now until it passes.”

Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience, we greatly appreciate your continued support of NBAA as we work to keep everyone safe. We wish each of you and your families health and happiness and hope to see you at an event in 2020 as it would be our honor to have you there!
