he Angler of the Year and Super Big Bass Winners were announced last week at The Ultimate Fishing Show in Novi, Mich. The Angler of the Year award is given once a year to the NBAA competitor who accumulates the most points throughout the season.
After a long year of competition in the 2012 season, Andrew Solomon, once again took the title of Angler of the Year. He also walked away with a brand new Minn-Kota trolling motor.
Angler of the Year drawings were also held for each participating sponsor. To be eligible, a competitor must have used a sponsor item. For example, a Minn Kota trolling motor must have been used during competition to be eligible for the Minn Kota Angler of the Year drawing.
The top 15 anglers from each AOY category are put in a drawing at the end of the year. Below is a listing of this year’s winners.

Our next drawing was the NBAA Super Big Bass Drawing. To qualify, competitors must have bought in to the big bass pot and won in any local NBAA tournament.
